...and so I've returned to the Bay of Baiae, since Baiae was quiet by then. From here I send you my greetings, along with the news that we expect to return home soon, God willing. Whether this promise holds remains to be seen. But do write often in the meantime, as though we'll be away much longer. Farewell.
